Freezing rain across parts of Saskatchewan on Friday resulted in multiple travel advisories being issued.

Highway Hotline on Friday morning was not recommending travel in areas between Moose Jaw and Weyburn, as well as between Delisle and the surrounding area of Rosetown. That included the communities of Fiske, Milden, Elrose and Plenty.

Environment Canada, meanwhile, issued a freezing rain warning for Saskatoon, saying a mix of snow, ice pellets, and freezing rain could be seen in the west-central stretch of Saskatchewan.

Roadways, walkways and parking lots were expected to become slick and icy.

Saskatoon was expected to reach a high of -2 C, while Regina was predicted to reach a high of -1 C.

Regina was also under a risk of freezing rain in the morning, with snow expected to clear up by the afternoon.
