Construction will soon begin on a new community health care centre in Deer Lake.
The Humber Valley-White Bay Community Health Centre will move all existing health care services in the area, including the Deer Lake-White Bay Family Care Team, to the one location.
The 30,000 square foot facility will be located on Humber View Drive, will include a mix of offices and clinical space for team-based care.
NL Health Services has awarded a $2.5-million contract to Marco Group to lease the space after it is constructed.
Government expects construction to be completed by fall 2026.
