The Dechinta Centre for Research and Learning will play host next week to panel discussions on the role of the land in post-secondary education and research.

We All Learn Together: Reflections on Learning and Research with the Land is a one-day event at Yellowknife’s Northern United Place from 10:30am till 2:30pm on Tuesday, November 5.

The event will bring together academics, community members and education leaders to have conversations about northern research, education and relationships with the land, Dechinta said in a press release.

The morning panel centres on northern-led post-secondary education and research, while the afternoon panel will take a look at the northern knowledge economy.

The day will wrap up with a tour of Ndè Wexè, or With the Land, an exhibit at Yellowknife’s visitor centre art gallery. The show features art created by Dechinta’s students and inspired by their land-based education.
